Madhya-laya is a group of young percussionists creating a magic of percussions on various instruments. It is a dialogue between various performers creating a new dimension in the field of Taal Vadya. This group consists of both folk and classical like Pakhawaj, Tabla, Dholak, Harmonium, Sarangi, Hudka, Daff (with stick), Madal, Dafali, Matka and Angklung (an Indonesian instrument). Madhya-laya creates new aspects of Taal Vadya Kachahri where instruments craft innovative rhythms and sounds by floating with each other.

This group has performed at Sawai Gandharva Music Festival, Pune; Saptak Music Festival, Ahmedabad; World Trade Fair, New Delhi; Judicial Academy (in honour of the Chief Justice of India), Bhopal; Shravan Mahotsava, Ujjain; Chakradhar Festival, Raigarh; Ustad Allauddin Khan Festival, Maihar; The Rotary Music Festival, Aurangabad; Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal; Bangalore Habba, Bengaluru

Outstanding Album....!!!

Simply Outstanding effort by this ensemble. It's really rare to see such concepts these days. Thank You very much for this innovative concept album. I really would like to see some more albums of this band in Mystica Music. I personally recommend the artists to include the South Indian Percussion Instruments like Mridgangam and Ghatam which would be really fantastic too.
